Spanish club Sevilla, scored three second-half goals, two from Coke, to beat Liverpool 3-1 in the Europa League final in Basel, Switzerland and win the trophy for the third season in a row. Liverpool had earlier scored through England international striker Daniel Sturridge, who saw his inswinging shot go inside the far post with the outside of his left foot.
Sevilla came into the second half with the trophy on their minds and were reward after a sterling performance that saw the club tarnish the hearts of the Liverpool fans..
Sensational Coke fired Sevilla ahead and added a controversial third after the linesman initially raised his flag for offside, only for referee Jonas Eriksson to award the goal.
The loss meant that Liverpool will not play in a European competition next season.
