PSL : We will stay up there, Musonda

The joint NFD 2017/18 top goal scorer Mwape “Zozo” Musonda expressed his feelings about his side gaining promotion to the PSL

Many will remember Mwape Musonda when he was signed by Orlando Pirates from Zanaco in Zambia

But after struggling for game time he was loaned to Golden Arrows.

He was then sold to Black Leopards on his return from loan

Mwape scored 15 goals in the 2017/18 and shared the award with Peter Shalulile, Namibian footballer who plays for Highlands Park

Black Leopards were relegated in the 2012/13 season. Spending five(5) years in the NFD and making the Promotional playoff four(4) times.

Leopards previous promotion playoffs participation in 2013/14, 2014/15, 2016/17 before eventually being promoted in the 2017/18 season.

The bulky Zambian striker is confident that Black Leopards will stay in the PSL

” I’m happy we finally did it after five seasons of trying, we have been to the playoff’s four(4) times in five(5) season”, he said

” We can’t be unlucky for five times it was our time and it was a long way coming. We are just happy we finally did it”, added Madidingwe’s striker

” We are going to make sure we stay up there, we can’t struggle for five years and come straight back will make sure we stay up there” concluded the Zambian born striker

Black Leopard Chairman David Thidiela assured the masses Joel Masutha still be in charge in the 2018/19 PSL season

Black Leopards coach Joel Masuthu hailed Mwape Musonda as the “Ronaldo” of South Africa after his wonder goal against Platinum Stars pushed them closer to promotion into the PSL.

He scored via a bicycle kick reminiscent of Gareth Bale’s effort in the UCL final.
