PSL : Thabo Mnyamane chooses Supersport United over Platinum Stars
Thabo Mmnyamane has signed three-year contract with SuperSport United
This Website previously reported that Mmnyamane had joined Platinum Stars on a three-year contract but it seems the player has made a u-turn and joined the Pretoria side Supersport.
Supersport are currently in Polokwane for preseason.
Mnyamane was on the wanted list of various teams including Mamelodi Sundowns, Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates and Platinum Stars.
Platinum Stars were close to landing Mnyamane at the start of the month but Matsatsantsa’s interest could see the Vaal-born midfielder remain in Tshwane.
Platinum Stars did make the offer but the player never signed on the dotted line
” SuperSport United have since come up with a better offer. An announcement will be made soon” says source.
AmaTuks agreed to release Mnyamane following their relegation to the National First Division at the end of last season.
Mnyamane contract with AmaTuks was set to expire in June of 2017, but it seems like AmaTuks cashed in while they still could.
Supersport United is believed to have sweetened the deal for AmaTuks by including two players in Thabo Moloi and Zama Rambuwane on loan.
Thabo Mnyamane has now begun training with Stuart Baxter’s side as part of their preseason camp in Polokwane
