Myeni will be heading to Braamfontein, four-and-a-half years after his departure to Orlando Pirates.

The skillful winger was surprisingly transfer-listed by the Buccaneers last week as he was deemed surplus to requirements by new head coach Muhsin Ertugral.

Myeni had two more years remaining on his contract with Pirates, so Wits will have to pay a transfer fee to Pirates to sign him.

Myeni is one of the Pirates players that was placed on the transfer list by the Soweto giants in a recent announcement.

The winger joined Pirates from Wits in 2012.

Amongst those who were chasing the winger was Cape Town City FC who are coached by the former Orlando Pirates Coach Eric Tinkler

The 28-year-old winger has been negotiating for his release from the club prior to the transfer window closing tonight.

The details of the contract are still unknown but Myeni will be heading to Braamfontein.

Myeni featured in 22 of Pirates’ 30 Absa Premiership matches last season – netting five goals in the process under Tinkler’s guidance.
