PSL : ‘I support the team management & blame the media’, Botha
Bloemfontein Celtic and Mzansi’s number one fan Botha Msila travels to almost every PSL match, talks about celtic situation
The most famous Bloemfontein Celtic man known as the team’s number one fan Botha has expressed his disappointment on the media for pouring paraffin on the clashes which are between the team’s management and the fans who have been calling for his head.
It all began when fans questioned the real owner of the team, as they describe the current chairman Max Tshabalala as someone who is not obsessive of the team.
This turmoil broke out after Bloemfontein Celtic suffered a loss against their rivals, Free State Stars.
Supporters were furious saying Tshabalala and his crew have allowed the most influential players in the team to seek greener pastures in other teams without putting a fight.
These green and white admirers went on to say, Siwelele is owned by the premier of the Free State, Ace Makgashule.
Hell broke loose when Celtics fans fought against Orlando Pirates fans Saturday night at Orlando stadium, leaving many Celtic fans injured.
After this chaos, Celtic Facebook page broadcasted a message which said Tshabalala has decided to open doors for offers for people who want to buy the team.
Siwelele’s fans who commented on this page applauded this act. Some even proposed that, the team should be owned by fans themselves.
Speaking with Mabaleng Sport Centre on Friday night at Milpark stadium where Celtic were eliminated by Wits in the Nebank cup, Botha said the reason why some fans say he should go with Tshabalala, it’s because he is behind the management.
He said fans were warned by Celtic management not to have a word with the media until the special general meeting has passed on Sunday morning.
“Guys I can’t talk now, let’s wait for the meeting to pass. We are in this situation as the team because of the media. We are completely divided as the fans because of what the media is spreading” said Botha
and continued to paint a picture of the circumstances in Bloemfontein “as fans we will slaughter each other, look at the number of people who are here? It’s really bad in Bloem but we hope to have a huge fruitful meeting on Sunday as the fans together with the management. You can then call me by then, and yes I am behind the management all the way.” Concluded the 2014/2015 PSL chairman award winner as he joined his fellow supporters with the song.
The meeting which is inviting Siwelele fans to the meeting was written as follows:
SUPPORTERS GENERAL MEETING
Organized by BFN Celtic management
VENUE: PAX NOVA HALL (Bochabela Loc)
There is no hesitation that all eyes will be on the results of this meeting as it remains to be seen on what will transpire in this historic team which continues to face difficult times.
