PSL : Hunt happy with charges performance

Gavin Hunt of Wits stated that they deserved the win and his charges played according to instructions.


The Clever Boys recorded a 2-1 win in their Absa Premiership 2016/17 opener thanks to goals from Elias Pelembe and Thulani Hlatshwayo.

This was the first time since 2008/09 that Amakhosi lost their opening game

He furthermore stated that playing against Kaizer Chiefs it’s never easy and is happy with result because last season they failed to win games like this and limped to the finish line even coming second on the log.

“To be fair I thought we controlled the game and could have made it really safe with the final ball especially in the first half,”.

“They are a good side and they play football but we did what we had to do and we move forward.”
