Former Jomo Cosmos, SuperSport United and Kaizer Chiefs defender Morgan Gould, who was recently released by Kaizer Chiefs is currently training with SuperSport United.


The player is hoping to land a contract with his former employer before the season starts.

The players exit to the Soweto Glamour was due to injuries as he failed to command a regular place at the club

The tall hefty defender is currently clubless and hopes to resurrect his ailing career at SuperSport United.

The player is also on the wanted list of new Premier League side Highlands Park who have made it clear that they would like to have a player of his caliber.

Should he sign for SuperSport, the player will rekindle one more time with former coach Stuart Baxter, who guided the player at Chiefs.

The player will also join up with former teammates, Kingston Nkatha, Reneiloe Letsholonyane and Keegan Ritchie who joined SuperSport from Kaizer Chiefs and played under the Matsatsantsa manager.

SuperSport United boss Stanley Matthews has always maintained that he admires Morgan style of play and the door would always be open for him to re-join the club.

In recent times we have seen the likes of Jabu Mahlangu and Daine Klate re-join the club after leaving the club to join the big three teams.

The former Bafana Bafana defender, who went on to play for South African National 27 times had a bad spell at Amakhosi after joining the club with an injury.

The player joined the Naturena based club after spending 4 years at SuperSport.

Gould was the captain at Matsatsantsa before joining Amakhosi and the fact that he has worked with Barter before could work to his advantage.

He joined SuperSport after Jomo Cosmos got relegated and proved to be a household name in the South African football community.

He played 81 games for Jomo Cosmos, 99 at SuperSport and 39 games at Kaizer Chiefs. He scored and enjoyed 15 goals at SuperSport United.
