PSL : Baroka FC sign Siphiwe Gwala from FC Cape Town

The PSL newcomers Baroka FC are hard at work solidifying their team

FC Cape Town have confirmed that the have lost their top striker Siphiwe Gwala.

Gwala looks like the right replacement for Thabiso Kutumela who has joined Orlando Pirates after topping the goal scoring charts in the NFD.

The 25-year-old marksman, who also played for Bay United, has certainly been in sparkling form in 2016, having netted nine goals in his last season, including three braces.

This was Gwala’s third season with the African Beasts. Last season he netted three goals in 12 games, also managing eight goals from 25 matches in 2013/ 2014.

“Siphiwe is in the mold of the late Emmanuel Asanda ‘Scara’ Ngobese. He has a good football brain allowing him to mesmerise defenders. He also has the ability to be clinical in front of goals.”

The African Beasts have taken to their official Facebook page to confirm the player’s move to Baroka

“We are blessed to confirm that after spending 3 years with the African Beasts, we have successfully changed another family life forever. ”
