PSL : Allan Freeze and his technical team jobs are safe
Director of Highlands Park, Mr Sinky Mnisi says Allan Freeze and his technical team jobs are safe and secured.
“The coach is going nowhere, the job is secured with the technical team,” Mnisi .
“We are starting to work tomorrow and the cheque book must be opened. We need to sign new players to beef up the squad otherwise we will find ourselves in trouble.”
Freese has experience in the Premiership having coached Dikwena in the past before he was released, and Mnisi added that his experience will be key.
“We’ve had the contract with the coach, it is in writing with his technical staff that they are going to stay. We are not going to change anything,” .
“The guy helped us, last season we were on the verge of being relegated and he came in and changed the team and we won the playoffs in the first three games without even conceding a goal.”
Mnisi also confirmed that the club will continue to play their home matches at Makhulong Stadium in Tembisa next season, with Sinaba Stadium in Daveyton their alternative venue.
“I’m very much excited and very emotional. I thought we had opportunities [to get promoted] when I was involved with other teams and it didn’t go well,” Mnisi said.
“It’s exciting to have a team from Tembisa in the PSL, especially people that are hungry for football. Tembisa people support football and definitely they will always make sure that they come in numbers; the attendance can attest to that.
“Now we are not moving from Makhulong Stadium and our alternative venue I can announce today is Sinaba Stadium.”
Mnisi is also confident the stadium will meet the requirements to host PSL matches and there are only few things they need to fix before the new season.
“There are a few items that need to be done, the municipality has got the budget and they know what to do. We need turnstiles and they will be putting them up,” he adds.
“We need to fix the other dressing room and to fix the emergency exit, otherwise, the other things are fine. The stadium meets the requirements and it will be ready.”
” We have received R 700 000 from the Municipality and will be going back to them to ask for more funding” he Concluded
It’s believed that Highlands Park will be hosted by the mayor of Ekurhuleni and his executive for Breakfast to celebrate their achievement, on the 22 June 2016
