NFD : Shaku boost for Baroka’s Nedbank Cup ambitions
The Review Committee informed the League of its decision in terms of which they stated that Shaku’s second yellow card was a case of mistaken identity.
This means Shaku will now be eligible to play this weekend when Baroka FC play Polokwane City in the Nedbank Cup quarter-finals on Sunday.
The implications of the decision are as follows:
– Shaku’s red card, which was received as a result of the second yellow card, is revoked and the suspension is hereby lifted.
– Shaku goes from two yellow cards to three. This is because the first yellow card received in the match against Mbombela United must now be counted. It wasn’t previously counted because of the red card.
