MTN 8: Chippa United too hot to handle for Platinum Stars

Platinum Stars and Chippa United met for the first in the MTN8 competition,  as Chippa United qualified for the first time for this cup in their history after doing well in the last season finished 6th in the log.

Platinum Stars had an unbeaten record at home against Chippa United that was brought to an end today after The chili boys outplayed Dikwena in all areas on the field

Exceptional sensational Thembinkosi Lorch had an outstanding game as was all over the show taking Tintswalo Tshabalala in and out showboating.

Chippa United struggled a bit in first minutes of the game but as game went on they turned on the magic

They manage to get to their normal play, possession football that makes things difficult for the home side to contain them.

That led to mistakes at the back by Isaac Nhlapo and former Platinum Stars player Rhulani Manzini capitalized on that mistake and gave his side a lead.

That goal left Cavin Johnson furious at the bench and the chilly boys kept knocking at Platinum Stars seeking their second goal but it never came

The game went into the break  with Chippa united leading 0-1 to Platinum Stars

The start of the second half saw Henrico Botes going out.

As well Cavin Johnson brought in Kobamelo Kodisang for Thamsaqa Gwabeni as well as Sipho Senne debutant

With that substitution, Cavin Johnson was trying to bolster his attacks searching for an equalizer but coach Dan Malesela side came strong than first half to get their second goal for them was mission

That was accomplished after Malesela brought in Menzi Masuku and Lerato Manzini for Rhulani Manzini and Buyani Sali,

Chippa United started having brilliant runs with combination

That led to their second goal after the sensational Thembinkosi Lorch and Menzi combined very well

After that goal The Chilli boys were all over the show as Platinum Stars struggled to contain them until referee Mario Gomes rescued them as blowing the whistle, Chippa United still had the ball in their possession.

Chilli boys displayed good football that entertained supporters and will for sure attract more fans to the stadium
