Mamelodi Sundowns Players Pay Madisha’s family a visit
Mamelodi Sundowns FC players today visited the late Motjeka Motjeka Madisha’s family to pay their respects for the fallen soccer star who lost his life in an accident in December 2020.
A memorial service was held in his hometown Zebediela yesterday and the funeral on Saturday.
‘Ace’ as Madisha was affectionately known will be laid to rest in Limpopo on Saturday after passing away in December last year in a car accident near Kempton Park.
Some of the players spoke of what kind of person Motjeka was.
“I have lost a brother, a friend. It’s not easy, but hopefully and eventually we will get over it. But he will be forever in our hearts. I’m out of words and still can’t believe he is no more. It’s sad that we have to come here to his hometown in such a situation and what an incredible player he was. He would annoy me with his playfulness but come match day he would give you 120%, no doubt about that” stated Lebusa
“We had planned to come here and spend sometime at his hometown but God had other plans. I have lost a younger brother, whom we had future plans. So distraught to see his picture” stated Thapelo Morena.
“What a humble person, always smiling and one person that was truly talented. I didn’t know him for long as I recently joined Downs but I can tell you that he was a receptive person, stated Kermit Erasmus.”
“Madisha was my friend before I even joined Sundowns, we used to play tournaments around Zebediela and that’s where our friendship started. I’m deeply hurt by his passing” stated Koketso Makgalwa.
