Kenza Football Club known as KFC, is selection team from Soweto in White City been in existence since the days of the Godfrey Moloi Annual tournaments.

We have seen generations of players coming out of the White City kasi.

The kasi had the like of kasi heroes like Zero My Hero and Jaro who were famous for their dazzling skills on the ball.

The current crop of player of this kasi are different from the old generation as they possess so much skill and have been scouted by PSL clubs.

Current team stars are non-other than Karabo “Shakes” Mkhabela and Kgotso “Professor” Molefe.

The team has lethal striker Thato Kile who is nicknamed Mbesuma and winger Mfondo Lutya who blast with pace. Shakes

Shakes is one of the favourite players in Soweto and an idol to kids.

The player was signed by Kaizer Chiefs reserves at the end of the 2014 year while playing at the Discovery tournament.

The heart of the team is Professor who is an outstanding player that has incredible passing instincts.

He is compared to the likes of Shakes Kungoane and Botsotso Makhanya who are late.

Professor who had a stint with Moroka Swallows before joining Polokwane Rovers is regarded as the better player who is more mature and his skills always benefit the team.

He was a member of the team that won the Maimane Phiri tournament.

YouTube sensation, Tshepo Matete was signed by current NFD champions Baroka FC played for KFC at Discovery tournament.

Baroka will be campaigning in the PSL in the next season.

The clubs is currently being coached by former Banyana Banyana striker Portia Modise who also grew up in the neighborhood of White City.

The kasi has produced top junior coaches who have since gone to coach PSL clubs juniors like Orlando Pirates, Mamelodi Sundowns, Kaizer Chiefs and other PSL clubs juniors.

The club is often among the favourites to win any tournament they play.

The draw large crowds from all over Soweto.

They are the current champions of one of Soweto’s known kasi tournaments, the Kwa Mahlobo Tournament.

The only trophy missing from the cabinet is the Discovery Tournament which they have been playing into since it started but get knocked out in the semis or quarter finals.

Their rivals are Zola outfit, Soweto All Stars who have been dominating kasi tournaments and winning every tournament.

The two met in a clash dubbed the Carling Black Label pre-match encounter where Soweto residence saw the largest crowd at Nike Stadium in Pimville in Soweto.

Zola went on to win the match 2-1 but the game didn’t lack flair, skill , technique and goals. The match was attended by PSL and NFD scouts and the match lived up to expectations.

The team will be playing a weekend tournament this week and will face their rivals Soweto All Stars in the first match of the ANC Joburg Champ of Champs Cup tournament which will be held in Meadowlands Soweto.
