Terry extends stay with Blues |
England international and Chelsea defender, John Terry put pen to paper after accepting a one year extension on his current contract with the Barclay’s Premiership club according to Chelsea Football Club website.
The player expressed his excitement after being offered the contract and looking forward to next season under the new manager and hopefully we can make it a successful one.
The player is regarded as one of the legends at the club after donning the club jersey for 703 first-team appearances, the third-highest in our history, with a club-record 570 of those as captain.
Chelsea will look to stabilize their defense after a slow start in the 2015/2016 which saw then club manager Jose Mourinho leave the club and the appointment of Antonio Conte as the club’s new manager last month.
The club finished in position 10 of the Barclay’s Premiership League and will look to redeem themselves in the next coming season.
