PSL : Tendai Ndoro hits form
Orlando Pirates striker and Zimbabwean international Tendai Ndoro seems to have find his scoring boots.
The lethal striker is at his best and has bagged five goals in two games for the 2016/2017 season.
Tendai scored the 2016/2017 quickest brace last night when he scored in less than three minutes against Ajax Cape Town as he helped the Mighty Buccaneers past the Urban Warriors.
The Zimbabwean international scored the current season first hat-trick in his club’s first league encounter against Golden Arrows two weeks ago.
He has scored what most strikers struggle to score throughout the entire season.
The past season saw Zambian international Collins Mbesuma win the Lesley Manyathela Golden Boot award with 14 goals.
Ndoro has scored a 3rd of Mbesuma tally in two games.
Ndoro seems to be enjoying playing under current Orlando Pirates coach, Muhsin Ertugral who coached him at Mpumalanga Black Aces before signing for the Buccaneers.
The player was always on the score sheet at Aces and joined Pirates and struggled for game time until towards the end of the season when former Pirates coach Eric Tinkler showed faith and handed him a chance against Kaizer Chiefs.
The striker didn’t disappoint and scored a brace against their biggest rivals.
He grabbed the opportunity with both hands and has been doing well ever since.
The player has credited his coach, team mates and fans for his current form.
He stated ” It’s not about individual glory but a collective effort and they are scoring through training drills”.
The PSL is struggling with strikers who can produce goals and will this season be one where we see a striker score more than 20 goals.
Will Tendai surpass Mbesuma’s record?
