These legends have paved the way by sacrificing so much to ensure that aspiring and current football players enjoy the opportunities at their disposal today,” said Phil Mogodi, Chairman of the Soweto Local Football Association.

“The legends are a vital source of knowledge and know-how and they should be incorporated in our structures for continual of improvement of the game.

The Soweto Local Football Association is in the forefront of football development and will ensure that past and present players are never forgotten.”

Former players like K.K. Lentsoane, Marks “”Go Man Go” Maponyane, Johannes “Yster” Khomane, Johannes “Ryder” Mofokeng and many more, will have leagues in the Soweto Football Association zones named after them.
