Spanish giants Real Madrid, who recently lost out on being the domestic champions by a point to arch rivals Barcelona a week ago have one last chance to win a trophy. Los Blancos as they are known will take on their country club , Atletico Madrid in a Milan showdown of the UEFA Champions that will played in Italy.

The 10 times European Champions qualified for the final after defeating England giants Manchester City to reach the final of the tournament. Having played their derby rivals in 2014 in the final of the Champions league, Real Madrid know how important it is for the club to win it for their fans all across the globe.

Atletico Madrid progressed to the final after defeating Germany giants Bayern Munich with an aggregate score to eliminate the Bundesliga champions from the tournament. The club will look to rectify the mistake they did when they played Real in the 2014 final after leading only to lose it at the end of the match for Real to be crowned champions.

Both clubs are counting on their stars to bring glory to the capital of Madrid, with Real having the likes of two times winner Cristiano Ronaldo leading the striking force and Torres being the target man at Atletico.

Real Madrid manager and former Real Madrid star Zinedine who won the championship with the club is looking forward to the encounter. Zizou took over the club hot seat after Real released their coach and guided the club to a win against their rivals Barcelona in a La Liga encounter and came close to winning the ultimate domestic prize.

His counter-rival coach Diego Simone who will be guiding his club to their second UEFA Champions final in two years believes they have what it takes to win the tournament. The club has come a long way and with all the odds in favour of Real Madrid , he believes being the under dogs they have not much to lose but would love to lift the trophy after 90 minutes. The club is looking for their first UEFA champions trophy for the first time.

Both clubs will compete in next seasons Champions league after finishing second and third respectively on the log with Barcelona winning La Liga championship.
