Viera is hoping for win against Maritzburg United in Phokeng
Former Bidvest Wits and Orlando Pirates midfielder Lehlohonolo Masalesa was unveiled by Rustenburg outfit Platinum Stars after signing the lengthy midfielder from Greece club AE Larisa
The player expressed that he came back home from Greece after he failed to agree to terms with the club with a more improved contract after helping the club to avoid relegation.
He had signed a 2 and a half year with the Greece club but his contract didn’t have salary stipulations and after the club avoided relegations he entered into negotiations for a revised contract but they failed to come to terms.
Other clubs showed interest but Dikwena made their intentions clear and lured the star back to South Africa.
He explained that he had a good time and that football in Europe is of high standards but Platinum Stars is one of the clubs with ambitions.
He furthermore expressed that he is happy to be back home and with players of high quality like Robert Ngambi that Platinum Stars will be a force to reckon in this PSL season.
The player was signed while on duty for Bafana Bafana and got injured.
He explained that the team physio are doing everything to get him back and recover from the injury. He expressed that he would like to get back in shape and start training with the rest of the team.
The player stated that working under a coach like Peter Butler who has high qualities and who is also a former football will do wonders for the players and the club.
He furthermore stated that he is looking forward to the season and thanks to the club chairman for the chance to come and promise the club supporters that they will compete to get results.
