Tendai Ndoro has been cleared to play for Ajax Cape Town and could face his former club Orlando Pirates
Ndoro has played for Pirates, Al-Faisaly in Saudi Arabia and Ajax in the 2017/18 season.
Fifa ruling states that a player who has registered with three clubs in one season may only play official matches for two clubs, the case was referred to the PSL.
On Wednesday(today) Ajax and Ndoro appeared at the DRC, the PSL ruled in favour of Ajax.
Ajax Cape Town tweeted “The PSL Dispute Resolution Chamber has ruled in favour of Ajax Cape Town and Tendai Ndoro. The Zimbabwe international has been declared eligible for selection.”
The PSL has yet to release an official statement as to the reasoning behind the decision but its understood the is exception to the FIFA rule
“A player moving between two clubs belonging to associations with overlapping seasons (i.e. start of the season in summer/autumn as opposed to winter/spring) may be eligible to play in official matches for a third club during the relevant season, provided he has fully complied with his contractual obligations towards his previous clubs.”
As we wait for the PSL to offer a clear statement
