The Gauteng MEC of education, Mr. Panyaza Lesufi has confirmed the speculations all over the social networks with regard to Moroka Swallows buying a PSL team status.

Swallows faithful have given him a new name “The Saviour”

Lesufi revealed this news on Metro FM, On Robert Marawa show known as 083 with Marawa.

He refused to mention the name of a team, saying they are waiting for the Premier Soccer League to approve of all the documents sent

He did not agree or deny when the host asked him to confirm that Swallows bought Free State stars PSL status.

Lesufi said “we found the team and the relevant documents has been exchanged. It’s a done deal” He went on to say Swallows decided, to begin with discussions which involve the contracts of players as it has the players interest at hearts.

Asked whether Swallows will continue with their old name, he answered by saying “This consortium will decide on whether they want to continue with an old name.

“We have exchanged information.We will announce in due time”

As callers were flooding into Marawa show, one caller from the Free State pours out his heart to hear the disturbing news of Free State Stars having been bought the status.

“I am disappointed on our government in the Free State for not intervening to stop this transaction.

This buying of statuses is destroying our football” said the depressed caller

That caller was followed by a well-known supporter known as Spikiri who sang “Panyaza Re tla ho le bua kang, aretsebe retla ho lebua jwang” meaning, we don’t know how will we thank you.

The rest of the callers were singing the identical melody titled “congratulations Panyaza Lesufi”

The show host asked Lesufi about the future of the relegated team playing on ABC Motsepe league.

The MEC answered by saying “We will use the ABC Motsepe league as our development structure, as for the name it might not be that much be different since you know there’s a Manchester City and a Manchester united, so we can try something like that” alluded the humble Lesufi.

Marawa also asked Lesufi to comment about the new Italian coach who has just signed the contract with the Free State based team. He said that matter is still on standby. They want to wait for the PSL

The MEC known for distributing Ipads to his learners assured the birds supporters that they are going all out to refresh the brand.

The supporters who were calling to the program, pleaded with Lesufi to persuade Maimane Phiri to join the development structures of the team. Lesufi replied echoing those sentiments “I have met Maimane and highlighted to him that we must have a meeting” said the Amandla FC boss.

There is no hesitation that the soccer fraternity is observing these proceedings of this deal diligently as this might be the second selling of PSL status. Mpumalanga Black Aces has been bought by former Ajax Cape town boss John Commits. It’s now known as Cape Town City.

The supporters meeting will held at 12 O’clock this coming Sunday, the 17 July 2016.
