Orlando Pirates have appointed Thabo Matlaba as their skipper this season with fellow defender Abbubaker Mobara to serve as his vice-captain

Matlaba, who has been with Bucs since 2012 from Free State, as well he played for Leicester City, Mighty Tiger and M Tigers FC

Matlaba (29) has been roped in to lead the Orlando Pirates team as a Captain after their long standing Captain Oupa Manyisa joined Premiership rivals Mamelodi Sundowns

The clubs released a statement through tweeter which read : ‘Congratulation to Thabo Matlaba as Club Captain, with Abbubaker Mobara his deputy”
