PSL : Local coaches raising the bar

As MTN8 first semi final kick off this evening all the four coaches who are on semi finals are locals
South African Coaches are finally breaking out of their shells and they have raised the bar thus far
This shows much improvement on coaching side and also that South Africa has talented coaches to turn things around to improve our football standard.
Eric Tinkler who is former Orlando Pirates coach and former Bidvest Wits assistant coach, has since been appointed Cape Town City FC coach
He has done well winning his first league encounter as well as dumping Kaizer Chiefs in the MTN 8 quarterfinals
Now on lucrative MTN 8 semi final he is regarded as one of the favorite coach to lift it
However theres also seasonal and exceptional coach by the name of Dan malesela who his playing philosophy got admired by many and his players as well enjoying it
He can still shock his former bosses at Mamelodi Sundowns but beating them in the two legged semi-final
The late Ted Dimitru introduced him to coaching field and it’s gonna be an must watch game as there’s more on stake between the two sides
The game promises to be interesting with lots of skills and flair
Between Eric and Gavin theres also pride at stake as Gavin Hunt is tipped to be bafana bafana coach
On Tinkler’s side it will be history in the marking if they reach the next stage of the MTN 8 and go on to win it
Should Cape Town City FC to lift this cup it will be on South African Football history for long time cause its a new side with no history in the top flight football.
The four teams and coaches have to be applauded for what they have achieved so far
Also credit have to be given to club owners who had believe and faith in this coaches, as well as supporting local talented coaches
Eric Tinkler and his former head coach at Orlando Pirates both reached the CAF Confederation and Champions League final brushing aside African giants like Al Ahly, Zamalek and SC Sfaxien
The list won’t be complete if we don’t mention Kgokolo Thobjane of Baroka FC the 2015/16 NFD Champions, a team that brushed aside PSL side with easy in their Nedbank run.
Pitso Mosimane is also brushing aside other African Giants and he has guided his side to the semi finals of CAF Confederation Cup
If things go according to plan they could win this year edition
Now we can say we see where our football is heading coaching wise and it’s something that have been lacking in the past now we sing different tune as our football now dominated by locals.
Local is lekker
