PSL : I’m very satisfied with the commitment of our players, Veselin
Bloemfontein Celtic coach Veselin Jelusic was happy with the draw his side earned against the mighty Kaizer Chiefs in the Absa Premiership at Free State Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Eric Mathoho’s header gave Kaizer Chiefs the lead in the first half but it was substitute Atusaye Nyondo from the penalty spot who levelled matters for the Siwelele to earn them a point
The new Siwelele coach focused on the result and team’s performance.
In his post-match interview with Supersport TV, he said
“I think our approach to the game, showed a very committed team, positive,”
“I’m very satisfied with the commitment of our players. Both sides had a few chances to score but generally, I think the result is a real result and that both teams deserve one point.”
“Yes, it is true, Celtic were lacking in the attack; we came close but we didn’t shoot.
“We said during half-time to the players to have confidence and to try and shoot on goal from openings more times.”
Jelusic was happy about the large turnout of supporters at the stadium
“They’re fantastic and we are always stronger when the fans are behind the team.
“So in the future games, I invite them to again come and support us.”
