This is a way of displaying gratitude to the fans who stood by the team throughout the years.

Speaking to Mabaleng Sports Center, Highlands boss Sinky Minisi said that

” there will be two cows which will be slaughtered by the lion of the North fans.”

“This event is strictly for our supporters who stood with us in all seasons. I and the entire management including our players, we won’t be part of this occasion” said the passionate Mnisi.

“We have bought alcohol as well to ensure that the fans enjoy themselves. This feast is organized by the fans themselves led by the number one man on the stands affectionately known as Nandos.” he continued

According to Mnisi, everything is concluded. They are expected to start at 11h00 in the morning at Mashemong Park in Tembisa.

Asked about coming press conference on Monday, he said they will shock the football fraternity when they disclose the players whom they have succeeded to bring to Tembisa.

“Papers and the social networks will be buzzing with the story, We will surprise many people. I am pleased because the fixture is out and our first game will be against Mamelodi Sundowns, ngiyalahlela nje uzobona umhlola (You will be surprised just watch the space)” concluded the vocal Mnisi, who declared that he can’t wait for the league to begin.

Highlands Park who were playing in the National first division were second on the table. They went to the Play-offs games where they won crucial games convincingly, booking a sport in the highest league in the country replacing the relegated University of Pretoria.

On Monday all eyes will be on Highlands Park to confirm the speculations with regard to players who will be representing the Ekurhuleni based side come the beginning of the season. The celebrations by the fans on Surtuday are paving way to the big day.
