PSL : “grass is just pathetic”, Steve Komphela
Kaizer Chiefs coach Steve Komphela was more worried about the state of the pitch at the Free State Stadium after his side were held to 1 -1 Absa Premiership draw against Bloemfontein Celtic on Sunday afternoon.
Amakhosi led for most of the game but failed to protect their lead as they conceded a penalty in the last 15 minutes of the game
Amakhosi were hoping for a win after being beaten by Supersport United in the MTN 8 quarter-final in Durban.
Komphela had a lot of advices for the groundsmen at Free State Stadium
“I thought, one: we couldn’t play here ”
” I’ve heard many coaches complain about the surface, it’s a pity that we denied people good football,” said Steve Komphela
“I think maybe what they, groundsmen can do is just bring the level of the grass down or try to maintain it better. I think they should try to do better so that teams can play ”
“If you are here it means you just have to kick the ball, but we are not a kicking team, we’re a playing team.”
