PSL : Confirmed, Homesick Mashamaite joins Supersport United

Tefu Mashamaite makes his return to the PSL

14202756_1256181011059164_3103115887358938176_nThe 2014/15 Footballer of the Season, Player’s Player of the Season and Defender of the Season has made his return to the PSL by penning down a two year deal with Supersport United from Swedish side Hacken

Mashamaite scored on Sunday when his Swedish side, Hacken who are fifth on the log currently won 3 -1

The goal was his farewell present to their supporters, management as well as teammates

Mashamaite will be reunited with his former coach Stuart Baxter as well as his former teammates who have since joined Supersport United

He will be joining the likes of Morgan Gould, Reneilwe Letsholonyane, Kingston Nkhatha, Reyaad Pieterse and Keegan Ritchie

Mashamaite left the South Africa shore to try his luck abroad, his first stop was in the USA in the Major League Soccer where he tried his luck with  and later joined Sweden side Hacken

Tefu was instrumental together with his partner Eric Mathoho in assisting Kaizer Chiefs win the PSL title

He left the shores after he and Kaizer Chiefs couldn’t reach an agreement on the new improved offer

Masha as he is famously known will be expected to partner Morgan Gould in the heart of the Supersport defense

Its believed that Tefu was unsettled and homesick this was confirmed by Sonny Kalrsson when he spoke to Expressen

” sometimes life comes before football”

“He has his children in South Africa and is homesick”

Masha made 17 appearances for Hacken and scored two goals

It remains to be seen if Baxter can re-inspire him to show his greatness that he is know for?

We wouldn’t be surprised if another form Kaizer Chiefs player in Mandla Masango joins Baxter after all he is the only who assisted him to better player
