PSL : Chippa United wins to restart PSL
Chippa United came from a goal down at half time to win 2 – 1 against Bloemfontein Celtics in Friday’s only PSL encounter at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.
Both sides had new coaches on the bench with Serame Letsoaka in charge for Bloemfontein Celtics and Dan Malesela made his debut for Chippa after the Coach of Chippa united was suspend.
Bloemfontein Celtic started the game like a house on fire and should have taken the lead after Hellings Mhango hit the crossbar from a free kick. Vuyani Ntanga gave Serame Letsoaka the lead in the 14th minute to give Siwelele the much deserved lead into the half time break.
The half time talk seemed to have added a bit of fire into Chippa United game plan as they came back a better side. United dominated the second half but failed to test the Siwelele Keeper. Their target man Bance was frustrated as services was not forth coming.
William Twala drew Chippa United level five minutes into the second half after some great work on the left , he made his way to edge of the box and unleashed a powerful shot that beat Celtics keeper Tignyemb.
The introduction of Joseph Molangoane for Mark Mayambela added a bit of fire power on the right and it was not surprising when he turned provider to Buyani Sali to score Chippa United second goal.
This was Dan Malesela first PSL 3 points and sees teh Port Elizabeth side move up to joint-sixth in the PSL standings.
