PSL : Bucs talisman Oupa Manyisa is getting closer to making a full recovery
Orlando Pirates captain Oupa Manyisa is just about ready to resume full training, although it will remain to be seen if the Bafana Bafana midfielder returns to action this season.
Manyisa, who has been out due to an injury since last year, has been tirelessly working with the Bucs medical team on rehabilitation work for the past three months and now it looks like all the hard work and dedication to his recovery is beginning to bear fruit, with Manyisa getting closer to full training.
According to the Bucs medical team, Manyisa is awaiting to receive the green light from a specialist before he is cleared to compete in full training.
However, it must also be noted that it will still be some time before the Ghost see Manyisa back on the field of play in a competitive match as Head Coach and his technical team are in no hurry to rush the captain back.
Manyisa will be given the time and support by the technical and medical team to make a full recovery before he is considered for any competitive football.
Meanwhile, apart from defender Siyabonga Sangweni who has a long term injury and Patrick Phungwayo who is still recovering from abdominal cramps, the rest of the squad boasts a clean bill of health.
Manyisa has been sidelined since September last year after suffering a fractured ankle in a 0-0 draw against Polokwane City.
