Orlando Pirates new signings & 2014/15 2nd round squad

With the edition of Siyabonga Mpontshane and Tshepo Gumede who have been confirmed as the new Bucs signings, Orlando Pirates have arguably one of the best squads in the ABSA Premier League. The duo join the Mighty Buccaneers as winger Tlou Segolela moves to Dikwena on a permanent deal and defender Gladwin Shitolo on loan deal until the end of the season.

The central defense competition between Mahamutsa, Sangweni, Gcaba, Tshepo Gumede and Lucky Lekgwathi is going to be as interesting as the left back position battle between Matlaba and Pungwayo with the right back position covered by Happy Jele and Nyauza.

Siyabonga Mpontshane is expected to be the number 1 goalkeeper with Brighton Mhlongo and Zikalala bringing in a much needed competition.

In the middle of the park, Oupa Manyisa(If he doesn’t leave for Sundowns), Mpho Makola, Issa Sarr, Thandani Ntshumayelo, Lehlogonolo Masalesa are the quality battling it out to steer up the engine room with over flying wingers such as Khethowakhe Masuku, Thabo Qalinge, Daine Klate,  Thabo Rakhale,  Sifiso Myeni expected to supply the effective striking partnership in recent years of Pirates Kermit Erasmus, Lehlohonolo Majoro and Lennox Bacela,
