1st QLTC awards (Quality Learning Teaching Campaign) was held at Sunrisepark Primary School, Rustenburg under Bojanala district hosted other district municipality that are Dr Kenneth Kaunda, Ngaka Modiri-Molema and Dr Ruth Segomotsi-Mompati.
Rev P.K.L. Letlape opened the ceremony through prayer, as welcoming guests done by Moses kotane East District Director Mr M. Seshibe, declared Bojanala district as “Home of winners” and assured quests that they must feel at home, everything is well set for them and they must just enjoy.
National QLTC Coordinator Mrs M. Modiye-Maselwa, thanked everyone attended the award ceremony and glad that QLTC work in schools really shown much of improvement as it decrease vandalism, gansterism and also created work opportunities to matriculants who assist learners in classes.
Adjudicator’s work were very appreciated and acknowledged in making the event successful, as they ensured that schools that are nominated get well deserved awards and also adjudicators received certificates.
Ngaka Modiri-Molema had most schools winners compared to other municipalities, schools are Stadt Primary, Berts Bricks Primary, Bogatsu Primary, Kgalakgatsheng Primary, Mmamitlwa Primary, Are bokeng Primary, Bonolo Primary followed by Its special schools Bophelong and Reatlegile.
Bojanala winners were Obed More Primary, Lethabong Primary, Kgothalo Primary,Tlhophane Promary, Tolamo Primary Primary…
Dr Kenneth Kaunda schools winners were, Atamelang Primary, Mokolokotwane Primary, Are itshokeng Primary, Akofang
Dr Ruth Segomotsi Mompati winners Thuto-Neo
“As department we are much happy being first province in the country awarding schools through QLTC and that alone its a great motivation which set tone also raised the bar for other provinces to follow us says NorthWest department of Education and Sports Development Director-General Mr Nordus Nothnagel
Acting HOD, Dr Mvula on his key note address in the absence of MEC of education and sports development Mr lehare, he was very vocal that “kgetsi ya tsie e kgonwa ka go tshwaragannwa, ngwa a sejo wa tlhakanelwa” it takes a village to raise a child.
