Reports surfaced that a price tag of R 1 Million rand was all the owners were asking for in exchange of their NFD Status
Mthatha Bucks today issued a press release clearing speculation the sale
” Unfounded rumours have been doing the rounds indicating that the team will or has been bought by Free State Stars who are said to have sold their PSL status to the relegated Moroka Swallows. Bucks management can safely assure all our supporters that the team is going nowhere and is not for SALE.
We are currently in our third week of pre-season and progressing well. This coming weekend the team will be going into camp, where we will play friendly matches to intensify our preparations ahead of the start of the season, on the 27 August 2016.

We will be announcing our signings on the 27/07/2016. The delay to these announcements, caused mainly by this sale rumour, has seen some players reluctant to put pen to paper with the future having been said to be uncertain.
