NFD : Lots of players at Mbombela United haven’t seen game time

Mbombela United have had a roller coaster ride time in their maiden season in the NFD, some of the key and experienced players haven’t seen game time even when the team is struggling.

13047711_636350583182903_8493447859716686452_oTommy Mandlazi has rarely been used by Mbombela United’s coach Vusi Mkhatshwa but his introduction yesterday changed the tempo of Tingwenyama’s attack as well as the status of the scoreline for the much anticipated Mpumalanga Derby.

Its only now that he is starting to make his presence felt, right when the league is coming to an end and it is not even definite that he will be in Tingwenyama’s line-up for the upcoming match against Moroka Swallows next week considering the odds in the team’s line up setting.

Bongani Prince Ndlovu, Popularly known as Ronaldo, was instrumental in earning Mbombela United a place in the Nedbank last 32 when he came off the bench to score a brace but was dropped off from the team’s setting afterwards, what more can the local guy offer to be considered as quality?.

Isaac Bongane Nana, the playoffs Player’s Player of the tournament only came in as a substitute in Mbombela’s 1 – 0 lose to African Warriors in free state and never saw game time again till he came from the bench to score a brace in the Nedbank last 32 against Sibanye G.W in free state, this boy was not only instrumental when the team was on play-offs, but he was so marvelous for the entire campaign at Motsepe league last season before promotion.

Thokozane Mshengu came from the bench to score an equalizer when Mbombela almost lost to 10 men Highlands Park in Makhulong Stadium a few weeks ago.

Though he was later used as a substitute in two other matches, the former Amazulu winger only featured as a substitute in 4 matches since joining Mbombela.

So, as to whether Tommy Mandlazi is going to be used in Mbombela’s upcoming/remaining matches is not guaranteed, let alone some players who are still yet to play even a single match such as Zweli Mbuyane and Lebogang Monthibantwa

Lebogang Monthibantwa was supposed to give him a chance when ‪#‎tingwenyama‬ were facing Sundowns in Nedbank considering the experience he have (yes fitness was gonna get better out of him ) but the coach opted to use Gumede who we all know he cannot be an anchor even though he is the best passer and a very good game changer we have,Pogba was on suspension and we needed someone who was going to make those crucial tackles, Mthibantwa was available, not used.

Does the coach have faith in his entire squad or just a few individuals?
