The  Netball World Youth Cup Gaborone 2017 got off to a great start with pool favourites plus the home team winning their respective games. The world’s top five sides showed dominance and made their intention to progress to the second stage quite clear.

The opening day saw a great opening ceremony coupled with Inspiring words from President of Botswana, Ian Khama, in the opening of  #NWYC2017

The day kicked off with Australia hosting Zimbabwe in Pool B and Sri Lanka hosting Scotland

The game of the day has to be Jamaica vs Cook Island, it was a nail-biting affair from start to finish and the Jamaicans were very lucky to escape with a win. Although the Cook Islands lost the game they have won the hearts of many fans who were at the arena and watching live

End of day one of the #NWYC2017, saw  Botswana come out on top with an impressive victory against Malaysia

Day 2 will see Singapore, Uganda, Samoa and Grenada playing their first game of the tournament as well will see Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, Scotland and Barbados getting an off day while Botswana, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand will try to maintain winning to make sure their proceed to the next stage
