NedbankCup : semi-final draw confirmed

Nedbank1 (1)The draw for the 2016 Nedbank Cup semi-finals took place after Baroka FC’s 2-0 victory over Polokwane City at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

After three days of great football displayed by all eight teams, its not down to four teams who will battle it out for the Nedbank Cup.

The Nedbank Cup doesn’t only carry the trophy and prize money but as well a ticket to the CAF Confederation Cup.

Free State Stars beat Wits 5-4 on penalties after a stallmate in 120 minutes.

Supersport United came from behind to beat Black Aces 2 -1. Both Supersport goals were scored in the second half

While a ten men Orlando Pirates beat Sundowns 2 -0, goals were scored by Tendai Ndoro and Mpho Makola.

Baroka FC outplayed their Limpopo rivals Polokwane City 2-0 as well. This sees the NFD club reaching the last four for the second time in five years.

They will now travel to Pretoria to take on SuperSport United, while Free State Stars will host Orlando Pirates in the other semi-final.

Can Baroka FC make it to the finals for the first time?
