Luc claims first win for Free State Stars against Polokwane City |
A PSL encounter of two halves indeed as Ea Lla Koto put bravery in the first half of the game and saw the Free State club score 3 goals. Polokwane City came back into the second half the stronger side as they searched for equalizing goals and scored 2 goals to put fans on the ball as they waited for the outcome of the match.
Free State Stars claimed their first 2017/2018 ABSA Premiership win of the season after beating Polokwane City 3-2 away. The visitors were 3-0 up before going to break with Free Stare Stars strike Mohammed Anas grabbing a brace and red carded veteran and club captain Paulos Masehe scoring to put the Free State outfit 3-0 leading the game before going into for break.
Mohammed Annas put the visitors ahead in the 15th minute and 5 minutes later scored his second goal. Paulos Masehe then made it 3-0 for the visitors to surprise the hosts.
Polokwane City came back strongly in the second half as they showed desire to upset their former former coach Luc Eymael and were quick to respond coming from the change rooms. They scored two quick goals and searched for an equalizer but rue the chances they missed missed in the first half as Luc Eymael charges claimed a win against his former club which he led to their first MTN8 spot last season.
Walter Musona reduced to score to 3-1 in the 56th minute and Sammy Seabi grabbed the second goal for the Polokwane outfit in the 81st minute and kept searching for an equalizer.
