Khune praises Khama on his debut at Amakhosi |
Kaizer Chiefs number one goal keeper praised debutant Amakhosi striker Khama Billiat after the Maize Cup final in Orkney, Klerksdorp in the North West province. Khama Billiat set up the goal that put Amakhosi in the lead. Amakhosi went on to win the match through a penalty shootout against Free State Stars and defend the Maize Cup.
“We all know that he is a quality player and the club will also benefit as we try to make up from the dull three season we had” stated Itumeleng Khune. He is going to add value to the team and we have seen what he can do with his first touches.
Itumeleng Khune, was rested in the final and new recruit Vigil Vries in the final. Eerlier on Khune was part of the semi-final set up against ABC Motsepe outfit Buya Msuthu. Kaizer Chiefs went to win the match 2-0 progressing through to the final.
Amakhosi will face Khama Billiat former club Mamelodi Sundowns in the inaugauration of the Shell Helix Cup on the 21 July 2018 at FNB stadium.
