The game lost momentum after the goal and both teams failed to capitalize on the chances they created. The tie went into the break with Umlilo leading 1 -0.

They’ve used that unfortunate situation with their keeper to uplift themselves and get ahead in this game. The game into the break with Alex Mates still leading 1 – 0 but with Rebels trying to force their way back into the game.

In the second half Alex Mates showed their intentions clear again when they extended their lead to 2-0 early in the second half. The match was entertaining but lacked goals. Both teams will have to give their all in the second leg

The last game of the day was between Amandla and Guara Guara.

Amandla is one of the popular teams in the tournament and have a huge following as a team from straight line. In the first 30 minutes of the first half the game had a lot of half chances. The game went into the break locked at 0 – 0.

In the second half started like a house on fire with Guara Guara taking the lead to lead the game 0 -1. Amandla had to fight tooth and nail to come back into the game and force a draw or push for a win. It wasn’t a surprise when they have scored a beauty of a goal. A diving header from a cross on the right. What a goal, what a way to bring themselves back into the game.
