KasiFootball : Day 10 Philly’s Games Preview, Which team will proceed to the semi-finals?

The Philly’s Games resume today at Esiqongweni after a two days break and all eyes will be who will make it to the semi finals.

A total of eleven goals were scored in the 1st leg of the quarter final with three draws and one slim win. This means all teams have to bring their A game and fight tooth and nail to proceed to the last four stages aka Semi’s Finals. With 2015 Champions and runner ups knocked out, the remain eight teams will fancy their chances to lift the trophy.

Ill-discipline has been too much at this year edition of the Philly’s games. Dumisane Buhale of Zone 14 and Zweli Ndlovu of Ama BEE are suspended for today’s games.

The 1st leg played on Saturday 24-December-2016 results are as follows

Zone 14 2 – 2 Klipfontein United

Ama BEE 2 – 2 Abarondoli

Umlilo 1 – 1 Alex Mates

Mad Bulls 0 – 1 Guara Guara

Day 10 Fixture

10:00 Mad Bulls vs Guara Guara

12:00 Umlilo vs Alex Mates

14:00 Ama BEE vs Abarondoli

16:00 Zone 14 vs Klipfontein United

Abarondoli are itching to get their hands on the trophy after participating in the tournament for more than 10 years but have nothing to show for it. Ama BEE have to proof that they are a professional side which competes in the ABC Gauteng league.

Guara Guara are the only team that registered a slim 1-0 win in the 1st leg and would be looking to build or capitalize on that today. Guara Guara made it out of the last 32 courtesy of penalties and luck was on their side as well in the last 16 as they relied on the lottery of penalties to make it though. In the previous two ties they came from behind this time around they have to protect their lead.

Alex Mates the only remaining side from Gomora will have to proof that the didn’t beat the defending champions by share luck but are a team to reckon with. They had to fight tooth and nail to force a draw against Umlilo. But at the sametime Umlilo have proven that they are not push overs either and are at this tournament to compete.

The last game of the day is the much anticipated match as it proved fire works. Both teams play exciting brand of football and can score beautiful goals. Zone 14 knocked out the crowd favourites Sidl’kotini which boosted the likes of Mboro and Shake it up.

Come 18:00 tonight we will know who will be competing in the semi finals and which sides will be the top four at the 2016 Philly’s Games
