MTN8 :Itumeleng Khune pleaded with Amakhosi’s supporters to be patient

Bafana Bafana and Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune pleaded with Amakhosi’s loyal Fans to be patient, after suffering a defeat 1-0 to Capetown City last night at Capetown Stadium.

ItumeAmakhosi continued with their poor display of soccer last night on a clash against Capetown City, with an only goal that separated the two by Matthew Sim.

Having lost their first match of the 2016/17 season opener against Bidvest Wits midweek, Kaizer Chiefs supporters hoped for better results when Chiefs faced Capetown City.

Itumeleng Khune and Kaizer Chiefs Captain, who was with the national under 23 at Rio Olympics, expressed his disappointment losing the first two matches.

He further pleaded with Kaizer Chiefs’s fans to be patient with the team as things are not looking good and it’s still early season

“On behalf of the club I just want to say to the fans to be patient with us, things are not going well so far but a big team like Kaizer Chiefs always bounces back and we’ll surely make them proud in the next coming games,” he said.

“We still have a lot to play for, the season is still long, and we still have Telkom Knockout and Nedbank to fight for and we well do well and make them happy because that’s what they deserve.”

“For us to be knocked out in the first round of the MTN8, a big team like Kaizer Chiefs deserves better. We threw everything at Cape Town City, we couldn’t get anything out of it, but we gave it our all and we are disappointed not to get the result” he concluded.

Amakhosi’s next match is against Platinum Stars on the 14th September 2016 at FNB Stadium,kick off is 19:30
