PSL : Its whip after whip for Kaizer chiefs
Another defeat for Naturena based side and fans yet to see results since they won Carling Black Label against Orlando Pirates.
Fans had hope that last season’s whippings had passed but it seems like it’s continuation and looking at how the team plays there’s no aggressiveness from players even or signs of showing hunger that they need results.
Kaizer Chiefs offloaded twenty players then signed eight, still quality of those signed is in question as some are not even making starting eleven but still lost two games in a row and coach Steve Khompela is finding himself under severe pressure to deliver all.
At all costs, Doctor Khumalo was replaced by former Ghanaian international John Panstil
His appointment shocked many and still haven’t shown much character to build players character to bounce back as they are now knocked out of the lucrative MTN8 CUP By Cape Town City, coached by Eric Tinkler who is assisted by Ian Taylor.
There pair done well so far, winning two games in a row and that builds players character and momentum that they can do it.
Kaizer Chiefs formation, 4-1-3-2 seems difficult to play or for players to understand and do well in.
Mostly Willard Katsande playing deep and in the middle team fails to contain opponents completely
Same mistakes that were made when they play Bidvest wits were repeated at Capetown against Cape Town City FCand one can ask “What’s going on at Kaizer Chiefs?”
That can be only answered by players and their technical team, as supporters now starting to press panic buttons as the team is not showing any signs of improvements and for a team like Kaizer Chiefs it’s not normal to lose first game and also lose two games in a row but seems now it’s a habit that fans had to deal with through out of the season.
Half of the players signed still are not making starting eleven, why did they get signed if not ready to deliver?
Some might be offloaded without even kicking the ball because they struggle to be on first eleven
The team is starting to be under much pressure to get maximum points.
Surely this results doesn’t sit well with management, as the coach got the players that he needed even his own technical team and this might result that coach been under pressure from fans and some in management or the chop
Will John Panstil as his assistant take over, if so does he have those qualities to handle that pressure? Or is it too soon to start pressing the panic buttons?
