Euro 2016 : Antonio Conte names Italy’s squad

Antonio Conte has confirmed his Italy squad for this summer’s European Championship, with a couple of noticeable absentees.

Experienced trio Gianluigi Buffon, Giorgio Chiellini and Daniele De Rossi will lead Conte’s men out in Group E where they will face Belgium, Republic of Ireland and Sweden.

Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli had earlier missed out on even the provisional squad after a disappointing season on loan at AC Milan, as did Azzurri legend Andrea Pirlo of New York City FC.
