KC & OPTelkomThe second derby between two of South African clubs Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates is drawing closer.  The teams played last Saturday in a PSL encounter and the Buccaneers came out victorious in that match.

Amakhosi come into the game as the host and fresh from a win against a formidable team Golden Arrows  in which they won 3-1. Itumeleng Khune has been in fine form and been pulling Man of the Match performances. Eric Mathoho has been instrumental at the back for the club and scoring goals as well. George Lebese played his heart out against Golden Arrows and was rewarded with two goals and looks ready to silence the Happy People as Pirates are known. The striking partner of Abraw and Mangele will need to step up for the challenge. Parker is another striker who might take the spot in the starting line up after a good performance agains Abafana Bes’thende and scored the 3 goal of the match.

Orlando Pirates brought the Amakhosi to their knees after defeating Chiefs 3- 1 in the league encounter that saw them register their second league win of the season. Pirates went on to play a youthful site of Ajax Cape Town coached by former Orlando Pirates coach Roger De Sa and won 2 -1 to register their 3 win of the season and a back to back win. Kermit Erasmus is on form and contributed highly in the two games that saw the Buccaneers come out victorious. Pirates defense has been instrumental in not allowing the oppositions to score while Pirates goalkeeper Felipe Ovono has been putting a bravery performance as well. The club looks to send out Majoro and Kermit to attack the Amakhosi defense, with Gabuza being an option as well. Dynamite midfielder Menzi Masuku looks set to play and contribute as well in the derby match.
