AbsaPrem : Assistant Coach, William Jackson exist Dikwena

Platinum Stars assistant coach William Jackson has left the club hardly three months after head coach Cavin Johnson vacated the club

Platinum Stars announced yesterday through their tweeter account that they have parted ways with assistant coach William Jackson

The former Orlando Pirates and Platinum Stars defender has been serving Dikwena as an assistant since hanging his boots and at some stage was interim coach after Cavin Johnson left the club to join Supersport United.

Jackson has been in charge since the club and former coach Cavin Johson decided that they won’t renew the contract

Dikwena has had a bad run in the CAF Confederation Cup and are currently bottom of their group and finished outside the top eight at the end of 2016/2017 season

The club is currently campaigning in the CAF Confederation Cup and with a new technical team.

Dikwena will participate in the third edition of the MaizeCup on the 15 July 2017 and will parade new players but with no one on the hot seat permanently.

The is also speculation that Dikwena are looking to sell their PSL status as the club is not making enough money and their support base is not growing.
