ABC : Abel “Chacklas” Shongwe and Enerst Mabouka joined Alexandra United

Alexandra United football club has Captured signature Former Kaizer chiefs Striker Abel Shongwe as the Technical director of the club, While Enerst Mabouka joins them as a GoalKeeper Coach.

Abel Shongwe born in Swaziland Mbabane in 1966 ,came to south Africa to join Kaizer Chiefs, where he later played for Moroka Swallows , Bivest Wits , Dynamos and Amazulu .

Shongwe who runs players agency will beef up the technical team of Headcoach Tracey Lee Pepper and Assistant Coach Armstrong “Madida” Letele .

Chacklas brings a wealth of Experience in to the team ,having played at the highest level in south africa .

Abel Shongwe has played for kaizer chiefs and Moroka Swallows in his hey days .

Abel joined kaizer Chiefs were he joined his brother William shongwe , played 68 matches and scored 21 goals in his career at Chiefs . Shongwe Joins Alexandra United with 8 matches to go before the end of the season .

Earlier in the week , Alexandra United also confirmed the appointment of the former Mpumalanga Black Aces Goalkeeper Enerst Mabouka as a GoalKeeper Coach .

Mabouka worked as a Goalkeeper Coach at Stars of Africa with Coach Farouk Khan for 1 year 6 months.

Amongst his other achievements Mabouka went to the NFD play off and worked two season in the PSL with Mpumalanga Black Aces.

He won the best coach of the season with amateur club Corinthians football club.

He was the goalkeeper coach who helped Jackson Mabokgwane to get a national call up.

Mabouka holds a B license coaching certificate with SAFA and CAF, introduction SAFA Certificate and participates in SAFA and FIFA goalkeeping courses.

The Goalkeeper Coach joins the Young keepers Ayanda “Dida” Dlamini , Gift and Bheki .

Alexandra United next match is against Defending Champions African All Stars in Tsakane stadium .
